DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We’re looking for an exceptional, results-oriented Director of Business Development who will lead and be responsible for QualiTau’s regional marketing activities, portfolio marketing, and Go-To-Market strategy to enhance our presence and penetration at key customers with differentiated reliability testing solutions. The director will work internally with product divisions, CTO, and corporate marketing teams and externally with our customers to ensure QualiTau has a winning portfolio of testing solutions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluates and manages new strategic business opportunities and initiatives for product lines and drives successful penetration strategy with the Sales team.
- Collaborate with customers and the Engineering team regarding new market trends, measurement needs, and proposed solutions.
- Use negotiation skills to close gaps between customer requirements and factory capabilities.
- Drive feasibility analyses.
- Define product requirements and participate on development project teams.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers.
- Create and present products and markets to audiences both internal and external.
- Oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs.
- Provides leadership in the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementing strategic business objectives.
- Defines vision, strategies, and tactics.
- Provide competitive intelligence by researching competitor’s offerings. Drive proactive and reactive responses as appropriate.
- Develop strategic marketing initiatives and activities that enhance the marketing position of the company’s products and services.
- Lead the MarCom: implement and design marketing plans, materials, and communications that include print, broadcast, and online content.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or Physics required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years of successful customer-facing business development experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills, including both small group and large audiences.
- Proven experience speaking to a group and engaging in problem-solving dialogue with occasionally distressed customers or partners.
- Demonstrated success in team environments where outcomes are influence-based.
- Cross-disciplinary technical breadth and depth necessary to explain and negotiate details of product functionality and performance with customers. Familiarity with Foundry & Logic and Memory instrumentation and measurements and semiconductor testing is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% both domestically and internationally.

Senior Payroll/HR Generalis
Position Summary:
This is a part-time Senior Payroll/HR Generalist position with a high-tech firm in Silicon Valley. You will be responsible for general human resource functions including but not limited to payroll, benefits administration, new hires, terminations, HRIS, performance management, and other duties as assigned.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process Semi-Monthly Payroll through ADP WorkForce
- Ease (HRIS) owner including, updating salaries, employee status, and other employee information.
- Performance management coordination including evaluations, employee status changes, and salary adjustments.
- Supports department managers in the hiring process and new employee onboarding including interface with IT department.
- Administers employee benefits including broker interface, updating HRIS, answering employee questions, and annual policy renewal.
- Insures Covid-19 companywide health department compliance.
General Responsibilities:
- Respond to questions from employees regarding all HR-related issues.
- Maintain working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (on local, state, and federal levels) and inform the organization on all applicable legislative changes.
- Update and administer corporate employment policies as directed.
- Keep employee personnel files and recruiting data organized and up to date.
- Maintain up-to-date Sexual Harassment Training.
- Administer leaves of absences, including FMLA and/or CFRA.
- Manage workers comp and ACA audits.
- Support Department Manager on Immigration issues.
- Manage workers comp incidents including filing WC claims and tracking employee progress.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Proactive, self-directing, and detail-oriented with good planning and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- The ability to remain flexible in a changing environment.
- MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, proficient.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Five years of ADP WorkForce Now experience required.
- At Least 8 years of HR experience in a high-tech environment required.
- Prior human resource management experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

- Part-time position requiring 25 hours per week.
